We had to downsize which meant getting rid of half our stuff. I couldn't do it so began looking online for tips. I remembered Peter Walsh from his tv show and was pleased to see this book. This book gave me the confidence and the peace to let things go. If I began to feel weak I'd stop and read again reminding myself that it was just "stuff" and that I could do this.It's been 5 years and we've since gone back to a bigger place but I don't miss the stuff. I reread this book when I need to declutter....again. It's amazing how stuff just seems to multiply. Peter Walsh is compassionate and kind. I love this book. It's one of my favorites. This book is a very good starter for those beginning to declutter. It begins by addressing the clutter problem and provides a clutter quiz. It addresses excuses and encourages you to imagine the life you wish to live. The rest of the book addresses each part of the house, its function and how to declutter it.Perfect for beginners. I have reached a more advanced level, and as such, it didn't teach me anything new but I can always go deeper so anything I read helps keep me going in the right direction.
