I love this book. I am one of the few people I know who finds humor in having Parkinson's.I know it's a tough ride, my father's body is being devastated because of it. I'm hoping not to live much longer, I'm 60, have had it for several years. I have no children or husband to take care of me.I have learned so much about how different countries take care of Parkinson's patients.I despise reading self-help books on the subject, so this was just what I needed.I'm inspired to follow some of the therapies mentioned.The biggest shock was reading a doctor saying the familial/essential tremors were now Parkinson's.My father and I had assumed we had that. My father's biological father also had it, but we we're never told of any diagnosis. I don't know how I got to be the unlucky one to carry on this disease. I have two older sisters. At least I won't pass it on. I still joke about it, especially when sitting down at any event that serves food where I don't know the people. It's so much better to get it out of the way instead of having people stare at you trying to use silverware. If you can't laugh, then it's just sadness, very shaky sadness. This book was light-hearted and fun to read. It is separated into two parts. The first part is the story of the author's diagnosis.
